Student Athlete Registration

SHS athletes complete a physical and then register through Arbiter before they are allowed to participate in any sports practice or game. Documents are filled out electronically and physicals are uploaded directly to Arbiter - no need for paperwork to be handed in at the school. Click for the CHSAA physical form.

  • Eligibility policy: Athletes become ineligible if they have one F or two D's. Eligibility reports are sent out each Tuesday, and students have until the end of the day to get their grades up. If they do not, they are ineligible for a full week. They can still practice, but not participate in games or competition.

Tickets and Passes

Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for students and are available for purchase with cash at the gate.

Season Passes are available in the SHS & SMS front offices: Adults $40, Students $20. These are good for ALL SHS & SMS regular season home games for the entire school year!

Seniors, age 60+, may show their ID at their first event to receive a Lifetime Senior Pass. SSD Employees can use their staff ID to get in for free and our retired employees are eligible for a lifetime pass good for all Salida home games.

Live Spartan Action

All contests held in the Main SHS Gym and in Spartan Stadium are live streamed on the NFHS Network. A subscription may be required.

Most varsity games are broadcast on radio station 92.3 The Peak.

Professional Sports Pictures

Team sports photos are done by Vibrant Valley Photography. Parents will receive an email with order information each season.

Activities event photos are provided by Carrie Coscarella Mattix from Mountain Air Photography.
