Substitutes Needed:

There are two ways you may substitute with the school district 1) become a substitute teacher or 2) sub as support staff.  Once all requirements are met you may sub in both roles.

Substitute Teacher in the classroom. This requires a certification with CDE (Colorado Department of Education) as a professional teacher or a substitute teacher. To apply for a substitute license go to the CDE website to obtain more detailed information and to apply. 

Substitute Support Staff, classroom based or otherwise. Support staff subs must hold a high school diploma, or it's equivalent, and undergo a background check. There are many support staff positions we need substitutes for. These positions are: 

  • Paraprofessional (assisting a student in the classroom)
  • Teacher’s Aid (assisting a teacher in the classroom)
  • Kitchen
  • Custodial
  • Office
