Families of Longfellow Elementary-
I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for showing up and connecting with your child’s teacher at our parent teacher conferences. I truly appreciate everyone coming together to support our students. The connection between families and school is a huge part of student success. I appreciate parents taking time to come meet with their child’s teacher and I also want to say thank you to our staff for the long hours they put in to make this happen. If you missed your conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher so we can schedule a time to discuss their learning.
Over the past week our lost and found has gone down slightly as families have found that treasured item. Tomorrow, the remaining items will be added to our Longfellow Parent Association clothing swap (for more information see below). You can help our lost and found by labeling coats, gloves, and hats with your child’s name. That helps us find the owner before the item goes into the lost and found abyss.
Today is the last day that clothing donations will be collected for the LPA Clothing swap. You can drop off items in the trailer in the Longfellow parking lot. Donated clothes should be clean and elementary student sized. Please no underwear, socks, toys or books. The swap will take place at Longfellow, Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November 8th from 9:00-2:00.

Familias de la Escuela Primaria Longfellow:
Quería agradecerles a todos por asistir y reunirse con el maestro de su hijo/a en nuestras reuniones de padres y maestros. Agradezco enormemente que todos se unan para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes. La conexión entre las familias y la escuela es fundamental para el éxito estudiantil. Agradezco a los padres por tomarse el tiempo para reunirse con el maestro de su hijo/a y también quiero agradecer a nuestro personal por las largas horas que dedican para que esto sea posible. Si no pudo asistir a la reunión, por favor comuníquese con el maestro de su hijo/a para que podamos programar una cita y hablar sobre su aprendizaje.
Durante la última semana, nuestra sección de objetos perdidos ha disminuido un poco, ya que las familias han encontrado ese objeto tan preciado. Mañana, los artículos restantes se agregarán al intercambio de ropa de la Asociación de Padres de Longfellow (para más información, consulte a continuación). Pueden ayudarnos con la sección de objetos perdidos etiquetando abrigos, guantes y gorros con el nombre de su hijo/a. Esto nos ayuda a encontrar al dueño antes de que el artículo se pierda.
Hoy es el último día para recibir donaciones de ropa para el intercambio de ropa de la Asociación de Padres de Longfellow. Puedes dejar tus donaciones en el remolque del estacionamiento de Longfellow. La ropa donada debe estar limpia y ser de talla para estudiantes de primaria. Por favor, no traigas ropa interior, calcetines, juguetes ni libros. El intercambio se llevará a cabo en Longfellow el viernes 7 y el sábado 8 de noviembre, de 9:00 a 14:00.
