Dear LES Families,

One of the most encouraging parts of this week was hearing our students use our new “I noticed…” language that we introduced at the beginning of this week. “I noticed I was getting wiggly.” “I noticed I needed a break.” “I noticed my friend was sad.” These are small moments that show students are learning to pause, recognize what is happening, and choose what comes next. It connects directly to the O in ROAR which is Ownership, and we are seeing students begin to make this language their own.

We also welcomed our service dog visitors this week, and watching students sit and read to them was pretty special. There is something powerful about seeing a child become more confident and engaged simply because they have a very patient listener sitting beside them.

Announcement for our House System: Congratulations to the Yellow House, this week’s big winner! The energy, encouragement, and pride our students are showing for their Houses has been so fun to watch.

These are the moments that make a school feel like a community, and there are a lot of them happening at LES right now.

We’re so glad you’re here.

Warmly,

Ms. Anne, LES Principal

Cordialmente,

Sra. Anne, directora de LES
