February is International Friendship Month! It's a wonderful opportunity to emphasize building connections and supporting one another. At SECC, we prioritize friendships year-round, recognizing their importance for future success in school and life. Our teachers dedicate time to fostering kindness, empathy, and other qualities that nurture friendships, and they provide numerous opportunities for children to practice these skills.

While we don't celebrate Valentine's Day at SECC and kindly ask that you not bring in treats or valentines, I encourage you to spend some extra time discussing the meaning of good friendship with your child. Keep it simple and remember that children learn best from you and through play. If you'd like specific ideas, please reach out to your child's teacher.

Additionally, if you, as a caregiver, would like support in building connections within our community, please reach out to Sheri or Chenoa.

This month, we'll be celebrating the connections we have with each of you and the love we have for your children.
