Wow, it is March already, and with it comes the hope of spring which only makes play time more fun at ECC! A big thank you to all of our families who participated in home visits last week! Home visits are required for our Head Start funding and are an important part of our program. They are an opportunity to build a stronger connection with your child and your family. Research indicates that the stronger relationships teachers have with families the better the outcomes are for children. Thank you for welcoming our teachers into your homes and engaging in these important conversations! With the spring, we begin planning for enrollment for next fall. For those families whose children are kindergarten bound (5 prior to August 1st), know that we are working closely with Longfellow Elementary to plan activities for families to support this transition. Please watch for additional information and let us know if you have any questions related to enrollment. Lastly, we are working on staffing for next school year. If you or someone you know might be interested in joining the ECC team, please connect with me. As always, reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or creative ideas to better support young families in our community!
