February is International Friendship Month which is a wonderful opportunity to emphasize building connections and caring for one another.  At SECC, we are working to support children in building relationships year-round, recognizing the importance of positive connections for future success.  Our teachers dedicate time to fostering kindness, empathy, and other skills that promote friendship, and children are provided numerous opportunities to practice these skills.

While we don't celebrate Valentine's Day at SECC and kindly ask that you not bring in treats or valentines, I encourage you to spend some extra time thinking about how you foster love and kindness with your child.  Keep it simple and remember children learn best from you and through play.  If you would like specific ideas, please reach out to your child's teacher.

Additionally, if you, as a caregiver, would like support in building connections within our community, please reach out to Sheri or Chenoa.

This month, we will be celebrating the connections we have with each of you and the love we pour into every child, every day.
