Dear ECC Families,

We have had another fantastic week at the Early Childhood Center! Taking full advantage of this lovely fall weather, our students have spent plenty of time playing outdoors.

Maytal from Guidestone visited us on September 14th to help students plant kale, cauliflower, radishes, turnips, and lettuce in garden boxes built by Salida High School students. She will be returning in October to assist with planting garlic. We are so grateful for Maytal and our partnership with Guidestone, which teaches our students about gardening and gets them excited about vegetables!

Don't forget to stop by the Bookmobile on Wednesdays after school! You can enter a drawing to win tickets to the Pumpkin Patch, with the drawing taking place next Thursday.

Estimadas familias del Centro Infantil:

¡Hemos tenido otra semana fantástica en el Centro Infantil de Salida! Aprovechando al máximo este agradable clima otoñal, nuestros alumnos han pasado mucho tiempo jugando al aire libre.

Maytal, de “Guidestone”, nos visitó el 14 de septiembre para ayudar a los alumnos a plantar col rizada (kale), coliflor, rábanos, nabos y lechuga en los cajones de cultivo construidos por estudiantes de la escuela secundaria Salida High School. Ella regresará en octubre para ayudar con la siembra de ajo. ¡Estamos muy agradecidos con Maytal y con nuestra colaboración con Guidestone, que enseña a nuestros alumnos sobre jardinería y despierta su entusiasmo por las verduras!

¡No olviden visitar la biblioteca móvil los miércoles después de clases! Pueden participar en un sorteo para ganar entradas al huerto de calabazas (Pumpkin Patch); el sorteo se realizará el próximo jueves.
