Flyer for American Red Cross Blood Drive - May 1, 2025, 9 am - 3 pm.

Hello Spartan Students, Parents and Guardians,

Friday April 25 5:30-7:30 PM Salida High School Spring Collage Concert

This community-wide event will showcase the talents of our Visual Arts students with an exhibition of their artwork, and our Performing Arts students with performances in Band, Choir, and Drama. Additionally, professional artwork by local artists, as well as artwork from our high school art students, will be available for purchase. The Spring Collage Concert serves as a fundraising event to support two $1000 SSAC Scholarships for seniors pursuing a minor or major in the Performing and Visual Arts. This is the largest culminating art event of the year.

Cell Phone Policy Pilot May 5-8

A trial run of the 2025-2026 school year cell phone policy will be conducted from May 5-8. Advisory related lessons are being taught prior to this week about the policy and cell phone use. Advisory lessons will ensure students understand the rationale behind the district's implementation of this policy.

During the trial run, the following cell phone policy will be enforced:

Students should leave their phones at home or keep them turned off and stored in their backpacks between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. If a student's cell phone is visible or in use, staff will confiscate the phone and notify administration. Administration will then contact parents to pick up the cell phone from the front office at the end of the school day.
