Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

I hope you have had a wonderful summer. We are looking forward to 2025-26 and want to share some important information before the busy back-to-school season begins.

Office Hours and Contact Information

The SHS front office will open for the 2025-2026 school year on July 28th, operating from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For general questions, please call (719) 530-5401. If you need to reach Principal Jesse Hull over the summer, please call (719) 530-5411 or email jhull@salidaschools.org.

Annual Information Update

To streamline registration, please update your student's information in the Infinite Campus Portal before in-person registration. If you need assistance accessing the portal, please click here.

In-Person Registration: Tuesday, August 5th (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)

Registration will be scheduled as follows:

  • Seniors: 8:30 - 10:00 AM

  • Juniors: 10:00 - 11:30 AM

  • (Break: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

  • Sophomores: 12:30 - 2:00 PM

  • Freshmen: 2:00 - 3:30 PM

In-Person Registration will include:

  • Help with the Annual Update and completing SHS online school forms (if not done already).

  • Receiving Final Schedules from School Counselors.

  • Availability of the School Nurse for questions and student health concerns.

  • Representatives from Colorado Mountain College to assist with concurrent enrollment classes.

  • School Pictures for student IDs (optional picture purchases available, forms at registration; retakes tentatively scheduled for August 27, 2024).

  • Locker Assignments: Lockers are optional for Seniors and Juniors but mandatory for all Sophomores and Freshmen. The cost is $20.00.

  • Food Service: A representative will be present to help with eligibility paperwork.

  • Salida Spartan Athletic Booster Club: Membership sign-up (supporting student activities through fundraising and Spartan gear sales).

  • Door Prizes! Enjoy fabulous door prizes from Chill and Moonlight Pizza.

Important Dates to Remember

  • Sports Physical Night: Monday August 4 (6:00 PM)

  • In-Person Registration: Tuesday, August 5th

  • Freshman Orientation Day: Friday, August 8th (7:50 AM - 12:00 PM, breakfast provided)

  • New Student Orientation (Grades 10-12): Friday, August 8th (9:00 - 10:00 AM)

  • First Day of School: Monday, August 11th (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, all students)

  • Back to School Night: Monday, August 18th (5:00 - 7:00 PM, dinner provided by SHS Booster Club)

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences: Tuesday, September 24th (5:00 - 7:00 PM)

  • Homecoming Week: September 15th - 20th

  • SHS Sports Registration: Please register your athlete online before fall sports start via FamilyID.
