Quote of the Week:
“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” - T.S. Eliot
Thank you:
Each week the activities department will highlight a group of people who help make our activities department run. This week we would like to thank our teachers. Our district is blessed with so many amazing teachers that push our students to be great in the classroom. Teachers often have to work with students who miss classroom time to attend their activities. They often work with our student athletes who are having difficulty in the classroom to ensure they stay eligible to compete in their activities. Many of our teachers help run our activities or give up even more of their time to help coach our student athletes. Thank you for your support! We could not have student activities without you!

AD’s Remarks:
Often students hesitate to get involved in activities because of the perceived risks involved. One of the biggest perceived risks is the risk of failure. The risk of failure keeps so many from ever attempting to pursue their dreams, or giving up on their dreams too quickly. When in fact, it is failure that helps us all learn, get better, and moves us closer to fulfilling those dreams. School activities are such a great tool for our students to learn to take those risks. By doing so, they learn valuable skills that will follow them throughout life. The biggest being the willingness to take the risk one needs to take to achieve the goals one has set for themself. I strongly encourage parents to get their kids involved in activities!
This past weekend we hosted our high school track & field meet. It was a huge success thanks in part to all the volunteers that gave up their Saturday to ensure the meet ran smoothly. The activities department is grateful for all of the support. Thank you!
