Quote of the Week:
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” -Thomas A. Edison
Thank you:
Each week the activities department will highlight a group of people who help make our activities department run. This week I would like to thank my assistants, Cassie Luttrell and Stephen Crane. The community never sees the amount of work that these two individuals do behind the scenes to make sure things run smoothly. The activities department not only manages all activities and facilities for the district, we also work closely with the city to ensure all our youth programs have facilities to use within our district. It is a lot and they do an amazing job of managing all of it. Thank you!

AD’s Remarks:
Just another fantastic week for Spartan activities. Girls golf finished out the regular season and will be sending a golfer to the state tournament next week. Girls soccer won their first round regional game before falling one game short of the state tournament. Girls tennis competed at the state tournament, with 3 of our doubles teams finishing in 5th place. The boys and girls track teams crushed it over the weekend and will be sending 18 athletes to the State Track & Field Championships. As we finish out this year, I hope everyone can look back at the amazing successes of all our activities programs and understand that this doesn’t happen by accident. It takes athletes that are willing to put in the work, great coaches, and a community that shows up to support these kids.
As we wrap up this year and start looking forward to next fall, I would encourage all our students to set their goals high. If somewhere along the road to your goals you have given up in the past, reset them and try again. Let’s make next year even better than this past one! Go Spartans!
