SMS 6th grade students carry water up Tenderfoot Mountain as part of the 2021 Water Walk project.

The SMS 6th grade class is participating in The H2O Project: H2On the Move. The funds raised will support the South Sudanese people without access to safe water.

For the weeks of February 24th - March 9 many 6th graders and their families will be giving up their normal beverage routine in exchange for only water. When they would normally drink something else, they will track that and make a donation in the suggested amount. At the end of the two weeks, they will total up the amounts, and make a donation to Water for South Sudan in that amount.

This challenge is entirely VOLUNARY, and participants will choose how strict they want to be with it. There is strength in numbers, so families are encouraged to participate together.

At the end of two weeks, all donations can be made on the SMS - Water for South Sudan website. In the comment for your donation please note "H2O Challenge donation"

More information and a pledge sheet are included in this pdf.

Students will participate in a Water Walk later this semester, and they will need to borrow jerry cans from the community. Please email Mr. Lamond if you would like to loan your container to the cause.
