SMS staff and students celebrated the end of Quarter 1 with a pep rally on Thursday, October 16th!
The pep rally featured a flash mob dance by Ms. Toner's 5th/6th grade enrichment class. The middle school band also put their talents on display under the direction of Ms. Oglesby, energizing the crowd with their music. Mr. Crane recognized fall athletes and student leadership introduced the relay games, which were organized by the wonderful Ms. Zechman and Ms. Erin. Every grade level participated in an exciting 'lawn game' themed relay with 5th grade winning! They now get to host Justin Beaver in their classroom for the next quarter!
Throughout the year, each crew class earns points by participating in various initiatives. This quarter, Ms. Tressler’s 8th grade crew earned the most points, which means they get a special reward of their choice!
It was a fantastic way to celebrate students' hard work and kick off Quarter 2 with renewed energy and a strong sense of community.
