Quote of the Week:
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." - Thomas Edison
Thank you:
Each week the activities department will highlight a group of people who help make our activities department run. This week we would like to thank our School Board. Not all districts have a school board that understands the importance of activities in the growth and development of our students. This school board not only understands, they ensure we are fully supported in what we do. Thank you!

AD’s Remarks:
What an exciting week of events we have. The Spartan girls tennis team will travel to Colorado Springs to play in the State Tennis Tournament!! The Spartan girls soccer team will be hosting the first round of regional playoffs. It is the final week of state qualifying for track and field as they travel to 2 or 3 meets this week to get as many athletes qualified as possible. Baseball, golf, and MS track all finish out their regular seasons this week, with golf still having a chance to qualify some girls for the state tournament. Get out and support all the hard work these student athletes have put in this spring!
Speaking of hard work, it is human nature to take the path of least resistance. We often spend so much time trying to figure out an easier way to do something. The great thing about our activities programs is that it shows our students that sometimes there is no easy way to get what they want. You simply have to roll up your sleeves and get to work. The ones who do that have discovered opportunities open up for them. State appearances, state championships, league champions, college scholarships, and high GPAs are just a few of the opportunities afforded our student athletes this year. All as a result of putting in the work needed! Go Spartans!
