AD’s Remarks:
What a Great Week to be Spartan! We get to add another League Championship to Vault! Truth be Told, Every Week is a great week to be a Spartan. Our student athletes and coaches have been hard at work and the results are showing in the standings and more importantly in how they play and work together.
This week the John Wooden quote from above resonates with me as AD’s around the State are grappling with some Sportsmanship issues that took center stage on the Front Range this week. At every Varsity Game the announcer reads a statement about sportsmanship and respecting our opponents, officials and the game itself. This isn’t just lip service, this is something that I believe in and our faculty believes in. Thank you to our fans, coaches and athletes who also take that to heart. The lessons we learn on the field, and the character we build in High School Sports will outlast the wins and losses.
Question of The Week:
What is your first reaction when someone gives you a compliment? What about when you receive criticism? What can you learn from both?
