On November 24th and 25th, The Crest Academy visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. Along with sleeping at the zoo, they visited Pueblo's history museum and went to one of Colorado Springs local malls. They got a tour of the zoo in the evening and morning, they also had free time to explore the zoo more than they previously had. While at Pueblo's history museum, they made tortillas and explored the history behind national monuments. They also learned a game and got to explore the museum. They visited two parks, one in Pueblo and one in Colorado Springs. The 8th graders helped lead classes through the experience and served trail mix. On Tuesday the 25th, The Crest Academy ate Snarf's at a local park for lunch before they headed back home.
